The secret that can break servers
So I run a NextCloud installation called wolf-cloud. https://cloud.wolf-grid.com
Yesterday the OpenOffice server stopped talking to the nextcloud server complaining it had a token issue, plus when I went to do a proxmox backup of the nextcloud server it hung.
I thought at first we had some kind of issue with proxmox or the hardware.
After some digging I could see the token error was something to do with the time and date, turns out the nextcloud server was 6 minutes out. Becuase it’s in an lxc container in a proxmox cluster I just had to fix it on the master of the parent server
this was pretty simple to fix.
apt install systemd-timesyncd
timedatectl set-ntp true
Then I checked the other servers, out of 24 90% of them did not have the correct time!!!!
